EUA Emissions Morning Marker (or 'Morning Marker')

• A trade-weighted average of ECX EUA Futures trades of 5 contract months during the 15-minute period between 09:00 - 09:15 hours UK local time.
• Published at 09:15 hours UK local time each day (or as soon as possible thereafter if reference prices provided by market participants is required to determine the Marker) for the March 10, December 10, December 11, December 12 and December 13 contract months.
• Calculation methodology:  Sum (Trade Volume * Trade Price) for each contract month within the 15-minute period divided by Total Trade Volume (minus EFP, EFS, Block Trades and Contra Volume) during that 15-minute period.

EUA Emissions Index (or 'Emissions Index')

• A trade-weighted average of all ECX EUA Futures trades over the course of the whole trading day
• Published as quickly as possible after 17.30 UK local time for the March 10, December 10, December 11, December 12 and December 13 contract months.
• Calculation methodology: Sum (Traded Volume * Trade Price) divided by Total Daily Volume (minus EFP, EFS, Settlement and Contra Volume)
• On expiry of the front contract month, the “front month” will transfer to the next March, June, September or December contract month (e.g. on expiry of the December 2009 contract month on 14th December 2009, the front month of the  Emissions Index will be calculated on the basis of trading in the March 2010 contract month). In the absence of a minimum of 20 lots being traded in a contract month, the price will be determined by reference to the Official Settlement Price for the contract month.
