When you start trading ECX contracts (futures & options) you will be provided free of charge with an account on WebICE, which is the web-based trading software developed by ICE Futures providing real-time access to trading all contracts on the ICE Platform including Brent Oil, WTI, Natural Gas, and ECX Emissions.
WebICE access including Users, SuperUsers, Risk Managers and View Only's, will be charged the ICE Futures exchange fee of $50 per access, per month. The ICE Futures exchange fee is waived for all IDs that execute one ICE Futures trade in that calendar month. This is to promote electronic trading. Reports Only and Accounting accesses, which do not have access to real-time markets, are provided at no cost.
- Live market quotes - Bids, Asks, Trades and Volumes.
- Depth of market. View the level II order book and all bids and offers posted on ICE or ICE Futures.
- Portfolio filters allow you to set up to view and follow a custom list of contracts.
- A trade ticker at the bottom of the screen provides a history of all of the day's price activity.
- Timestamps allow you to see when a bid or offer was entered or when a trade was executed.
Both Members of ICE as well as so called 'order-routers' enjoy direct front end trading access via the WebICE trading application or one of the trading applications listed below. Potential users of WebICE can receive complementary training from ECX and ICE.
Trading ECX products is also possible through Independent Software Vendors. ECX and ICE Futures allow market users to choose from a range of front-end trading application, as an alternative to WebICE. ICE Futures enables approved ISVs to underwrite to the ICE platform, which offers market participants numerous front-end trading choices in addition to the WebICE user interface.
